Just a quick post as i realised that I’ve yet to post anything on this website of mine for quite some time and clearly you are all feeling neglected.
So the big European tour from The Divine Comedy has come to a finish and I’m sure some of you would love to relive those halcyon days from the comfort of your own homes.
Well in that case you’ll be delighted to know that you can still stream the entire Folies Bergère show from back in February on Youtube via those clever people at Culturebox.
And here it is
We’ll be seeing you at some festivals over the summer months.
Until then you’ll be glad to hear that Inhale a brand new Monochrome Echo Ep out this Friday! It’s called Analog Artifacts and it’ll be available on Bandcamp, and everywhere else the following Friday 14th for those of you that (for some silly reason) don’t like Bandcamp.
I’ll remind you of this important news on the day. Obviously.
So as I’m sure you’re all aware the brand new album from The Divine ComedyForeverland is very much out now and we’ve been busy travelling round promoting the release.
It climbed up to number 7 in the official UK album charts in it’s first week of release, plus it was number 3 in Ireland and 14 in France! Very exciting indeed…
We played on Chris Evans and Dermot O’Leary’s BBC radio 2 shows, then dashed off to Paris for an unplugged gig for PIAS plus a few days of television and radio spots before returning to the UK in time to play on Later… with Jools Holland.
You can stream the whole unplugged PIAS Paris show here on the ARTE website. Not sure how long it’ll stay live so have a look while you can!
The Later… Live! show aired on Tuesday but the full Later… show is on tonight at 11.05pm on BBC2!!
I’ve been playing all these unplugged shows on my little Kala ukulele bass which has been great fun. It’s been getting a lot of attention over the last few weeks. You’ll see it in action on Jools later tonight through my new Aguilar rig. Sounds fantastic…
The tour starts on 7th October and tickets are selling out fast so you better get on the case boys and girls. See you out there!

So last Friday The Divine Comedy headed off to France to play the Gaîté lyrique in Paris in front of a sold out audience.
As many of you know the new (as yet untitled!) album is due for release later this year so this was a good opportunity for Neil to debut a few of the new songs. Here’s To The Rescue from the show…
In fact the entire gig was streamed live by those lovely people at ARTE, so you can in fact watch the whole show from the comfort of your homes to see what you missed.
We also spent some time in the afternoon shooting some unplugged videos for La Blogotheque at a lovely secret venue down the road (mainly a secret because I’ve forgotten it’s name). Looking forward to seeing these, I think they’re gonna look great!
So the next show will be the Vida Festival in Spain on Saturday 2nd July. Pack your sunscreen and see you there. And keep your eyes and ears peeled for news on the new album. We’re all rather excited to be on the road again 😉
